Please check out our new TSX/TSXv Producer Single Page App (SPA) that allows users to compute returns for selection of TSX/TSXv gold producers using fundamental metrics including the ordinal rankings of:
auoz - in situ gold ounces: sum of Proven + Probable reserves plus Measured + Indicated and Inferred resources.
auv - in situ gold value: in situ gold ounces divided by issued shares divided by share close price.
grd - in situ gold grade: average gold grade of the in situ gold.
evoz - enterprise value per ounce of gold: enterprise value computed from closing price, issued shares count, current assets, current liabilities and long term liabilities.
aup - gold production per share: gold production ounces in most recent quarter divided by issued share count.
auvp - aup divided by share price: gold production per share in the most recent quarter divided by share price.
This free SPA provides the above metrics from January 2013 to most recent close for each TSX trading day.
Metrics also includes the atv (average trade volume over last 5 days) as well as closing price on Reference Date and the returns generated by companies in each of the lists created using the fundamental metrics based on closing price changes between reference data and price after the Holding Period (note: if the holding period extends beyond the most recent trading date, the return is computed to the most recent trading date).
Each page updates shows the returns for all metric choices and lists the companies that generated that return for the highlighted metric. Metric tool tips provide a brief description of each metric. Click on the metric to change the short order.
When the list limit (set at top of page) is greater than the number of candidate companies, each metric shows the same return since all potential companies are included independent of metric choice - reduce the LIMIT: at top of page to see different returns by metric choice.
For any given TSX trading date, users can create metric based lists of TSX/TSXv gold producers and view returns for holding periods ranging from months to years. A quartile based color coding quickly shows which metric based producer lists provided the highest returns.
A spreadsheet version of the SPA ordinal data set, published as a CSV file with per trading day per TSX/TSXv gold producer rows, will be available for a nominal fee ($19 USD). The real value data version of this data set will also be released in Q1/17.
